• Population origin: The Temne and Mende are about a third of the population. Other important groups are Lokken, Sherbo, Limba, sussus, fulahs,Konos and Krios. These are the descendants of freed African slaves in the nineteenth century who settled in Freetown (Krio is a corruption of the word Creole).  There are small groups of Europeans, Arabs, Chinese and Indians.

• Weather: Sierra Leone is a country with a tropical climate with high humidity and rain. The average temperature is above 25 degrees on the coast to 14 inland.
  The rainiest season is  in April through November, while the rest of the  times is quite dry.
• Flora and fauna: The flower of passion typifies the beauty of flora and fauna of Sierra Leone. There are many other adding color and vitality, as well as perfume, in this tropical environment.
  Sierra Leone has abundant forest vegetation that houses, especially in national parks and nature reserves, many species of wild animals such as chimpanzees, antelopes, and a rare species of crocodile.. In agriculture, the main crops are coffee and cocoa.
